C. Accounting-Payroll   1. Add new employees to payroll screens, making sure all information is present and accurate, especially Social Security Number and address.  2. Make any necessary changes to employee’s pay rate, as submitted by the department head and approved by Administrator.  3. Input hours worked by type (regular, overtime, vacation, holiday, PTO, in-service), bonus or retro pay, as well as deductions (draws, uniform, garnishments, credit union, insurance etc) and enter the days and weeks worked (for Oregon employees).  4. Balance payroll and draws before setting up in carbon copies for corporate office.  5. Print the "Balance Cover Sheet" screen and fax to Corporate Support-ATTN Payroll.  6. By the assigned due date, set up in carbon copy and call Corporate Support to tell them you are ready to transmit payroll files.  7. Once payroll has been processed and when reports have been received from Corporate Support, review all reports for accuracy- such as department numbers, total deductions, net pay, etc.  D. Accounting –Account Payable   1. Code invoices and have Administrator sign off on all invoices.  2. Keep a photocopy of all invoices  3. Keep a file per vendor and file the coded copy of invoices mailed to corporate office.  4. Mail coded invoices to the Corporate Office per bookkeeping calendar.  E. Medicare Certified Facilities   1. Post charges from Patient ledger to the UB92 as well as the Medicare logs  2. Perform Triple Check wit Director of Nursing and Administrator  3.
